research consortium (FOR 1082) that closely cooperates to elucidate biological
functions and the biochemistry of this enigmatic enzyme. The consortium works on
mammalian cell lines and the model organisms Drosophila, S. pombe, Dictyostelium,
Acantamoeba and mouse. Successful applicants will have access to state-of-the-art
methods and materials from the participating groups. Association with the local
graduate college is encouraged.
Applicants should have a good diploma or MSc degree in biology, biochemistry or
related fields and a solid background in at least one of the following: Dictyostelium
molecular biology, chromatin analysis, RNA biochemistry, protein-protein and protein-
nucleic acid interaction or related techniques.
